Project Title: Empowerment and Sensitization Ethnic Minorities (ESEM)

Project Results:

Result 1: Solidarity among individuals, groups and network are developed and active towards pursuing the rights and dignity of the Ethnic Minority people.

Result 2: Ethnic Minority people including women and youth are aware and sensitised on their constitutional and universal rights, entitlements, and other relevant issues.

Result 3: The Union Parishads, concern govt. line agencies and civil society members are sensitised, supportive and active towards the rights, dignity and entitlement of Ethnic Minority people as well as cater services accordingly.

Result 4: Government Authorities and Civil Society members are sensitized on local level Human Right violation and remedies.

1. Target Group and Beneficiaries.

Targeted Beneficiaries

About 5000 people from ethnic minority communities (1000 ethnic minority households.) from 6 Upazila of Dinajpur district will be bought under this project supports.

Targeted Actors/Stakeholders

Journalist, Civil Society Members, Social Worker, Restaurant Owners Association, School Management Committees, Teachers, and Religious leaders, political activists, Women leaders etc.

Targeted Duty Bearers

Secretary and Elected representatives of Union Parishad, Upazila Parishad and Zila Parishad, Department of Local Government, Social welfare department, Women Affairs Department, Department of Youth Development, Upazila Nirbahi officers, Law enforcing agencies and  District administration, Education Offices etc.
